It's literally the perfect gift for Piper and she is totally pumped that I deemed it worth blogging about. Piper is also extremely pro-active: unbeknownst to me, she took some pictures this morning (not this one) with my fancy camera herself. Piper girl could drive a car and balance my checkbook without me. Promise me that if anyone sees Piper blogging on Nifty Living by herself, you will tell me right away.

I have known about Wu & Wu for a while. I bought it for my (Hello Portland) store as soon as it was available. I also returned it promptly because the distributor was an ass-wipe. I still love the stuff though and I think Fiona Hewitt  (the illustrator) is so cool and talented that I hate her. That's about as cool as it gets.

I actually already own the pigtail kit but I never have the nerve to either open it or give it away. Now Piper has this writing kit and I realized with all the choices Wu & Wu has to offer, you would have to be a moron not to find a gift for almost any gal or guy in your life. There is even stuff for guys like a shoeshine and explorer kit! Like I used to say at my old store, if you can't find something cool here, tell us, so we can make fun of you right way.

As an aside, Fiona Hewitt also illustrates products for BlueQ.com. They are not the ass-wipe distributors. BlueQ rocks the Casbah, they are friends-of-friends and are from western Massachusetts (near MoCA and The Porches which is so cool it deserves its very own post).
