Blue Dot's "Real Good Chair" surpasses all my packaging expectations. This chair is steel but folds flat for shipping (saving gas, shipping costs, Mother Earth.) Hopefully this is a fast forward trend in furniture design (and the best way to encourage it is to support it.)

I love the Blu Dot company, when I was a buyer I remember loitering at their showroom at the world's most boring Furniture Show in Highpoint, N.C. They were pleasant and down to earth and definitely the kind of guys you would drink a beer with.

Kicker: all furniture orders at Target (over $100) are 15% off (and I only feel great buying from the big box retailers when there is a steep discount.) This brings the regular price of $129 to $90 which is actually more than 15%! Target had them in aqua and red (with red legs). They also come cream and black and surprisingly those colors are on sale at the Blu Dot website for $103. You won't regret it, these chairs are gorgeous in person!
